| I believe this is the greatest country on Earth. Congressional actions should be based on what is good for the country and not what is good for their re-election. If elected, I will take these principle stands. Abortion: As a Conservative, I am for less government. So there should be no government funding of abortion. Affirmative Action: Affirmative action for disadvantaged children only and a person's skin color should not be taken into consideration. What is this obsession about race? Education: Abolish the Department of Education. There is nothing that is being done by the Department of Education that can't be done at the local level. Fiscal Responsibility: If I kept accounting records the way the government keeps records, I'd be in jail. There are by some estimates, $53 trillion worth of unfunded liabilities. There needs to be a balanced budget amendment. Unless you want to see the country go bankrupt, we need to cut government spending and this includes corporate welfare.
Illegal Immigration: This is a country of immigrants, but this is also a country with a healthy tradition of respecting the law. All illegal aliens must return home and apply to get into this country legally like everyone else. Those who want amnesty are within their rights to propose amnesty, but they shouldn’t call it something else.
